A CGM or PDF file is showing different line widths that are not seen while the drawing is open in NX. This is due to the "actual" line widths not being displayed in NX, but "actual" line widths are exported to the CGM or PDF file. How to see the actual line widths while viewing the drawing in NX.
SolutionHow to see line width differences directly in the NX drawing part file.
1. In NX, open the drawing part file.
2. In the Menu, select 'Preferences-->Visualization'.
3. Expand 'Emphasis' and highlight 'Edge'.
* Reduce Edge Bleed-through = OFF
* Show Line Widths = ON
4. Expand 'Color' and highlight 'Drawing Layouts'.
* Show Widths=ON
5. Highlight 'Line'.
* Show Widths = ON
* Then set incremental pixel widths for each separate line width: 1, 2, 3, ...9
**This will make each line width a different pixel width on the screen so you can see lines of different widths clearly.
6. Select 'OK'.
Now your drawing will visually reveal the line width differences directly in NX.
NOTE: It may also be helpful to view the drawing with "Monochrome = ON" to see the line width differences.
