Assembly open times seem very slow.

Assembly open times can be slowed when Dynamic Visualization is used to view property information interactively. The property information is indexed when you start Solid Edge, which subsequently starts SEPropDB.exe and SEPropReader.exe as background processes.

If you want to avoid the in-memory indexing you can enable the option "Enable delayed indexing when Solid Edge starts" located in the Assembly section of Solid Edge Options.
