Summary

Details

A user is trying to create a Solid Edge Sheet metal part from a Solid Body using the "Part to Sheet Metal" command in the "Transform" tab.

They hit a problem when they select an edge that has a convergence point with another edge that was previously selected.

Solution

The reason for this is that there is currently a limitation with both "Part to Sheet Metal" and "Thin Part to Sheet Metal" when there is the condition of two or more bends meeting at a corner.

In order to work around this it is necessary for some part preparation is required to remove the condition before using the Part to Sheet Metal tools.  However you choose to do it, you will need to create some kind of opening at the corner where the multiple edges meet.

In the example below, 3D sketches have been used to split the faces in the area around the multiple edge convergence and remove this condition.
This will then create a manual relief around those corners and bends so that they do not interfere with each other, allowing the Part to Sheet Metal conversion to be done.
