NX Preventing a Sharp Corner from being Damaged during Machining

The  sharp edges of a mold insert need to be carefully protected during machining. The tools need to have a safety margin when wrapping over the sharp corner. The Extend at Edges option does not always give the necessary control. What can be done to the tool path to help this? Note, below, the mold insert with the sharp edges.

The insert is roughed and then semi-finished. Note that the semi-finisher wraps over the sharp corner.

Use the Extend Sheet utility to create geometry that will add the safety margin. Add these surfaces to the ZLevel Profile operation as Cut Area. Notice now that the tool stays away from the sharp corner.
