A CAM program is created in NX to make a part on a CNC machine. To make sure that the program is correct a machine kit is loaded and Machine Simulation is run. The Machine Code Based Simulate option is selected so that the actual G-code will be checked. In NX2206 new functionality was added to capture the posted output during the simulation and store it internally. This stored G-code can than be exported without having to repost it. Is it possible to display whether the internally saved output is up-to-date or not?
SolutionA new column can be added to the Operation Navigator to display the status of the internally saved data. The column is called Machine Code. Select the column header in the Operation Navigator Program Order View and do an MB3 -> Column Configuration -> Configure Columns.
Drag the Candidate Columns -> Machine Code title onto one of the items on the Column Configuration.
The Machine Code column is added.
The Machine Code column is now displayed in the Operation Navigator Program Order View.
