Where is Pattern Component  - Along a Path?

Component Pattern Along option is only available when the Associative check box is cleared.

Along:

Defines a layout that follows a continuous curve chain and optionally a second curve chain or a vector. 

Only available when the Associative check box is cleared. 

Please make sure the "associative" checkbox is off in the Pattern component Settings panel.
