Is it possible to change the computer for a Solid Edge subscription license?
Solution
Yes, it is possible to change the computer.
For a subscription product, the license is downloaded from the web after activation.
Re-activating the subscription license on another client is done via the Solid Edge License Utility, and entering the Activation code again.
Be aware that the re-activation using the same Activation code is only allowed a certain number of times, after which the customer will be blocked - it is like an Emergency license.
If the customer wants to regularly move the license between different machines they should make it Cloud Enabled. This is done on the siemens.com/gtac web page by selecting 'License management'.
