- Though an NX session *is* launched from Teamcenter,
a popup window is displayed
Client Cache is Empty
Teamcenter client meta model cache is not populated or failed to download.
The Teamcenter administrator can generate a client cache to improve NX performance.
- However, for this TC 13.2 environment, dba user *did* recreate client cache,
using the new command bmide_generate_client_cache
e.g.
bmide_generate_client_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -mode=delete -cache=all
bmide_generate_client_cache -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -mode=generate -cache=all -model_file=%TC_DATA%/model/model.xml -target_dir=%TC_DATA%/clientcache
- Inspection of the NX syslog shows
ServerVersion::SetMajorVersion - TC Version not recognized - 7.
Solution
- NX version 1926 was too old for the Teamcenter version.
- Launching a newer version such as 1980 properly used the client cache.
