How To Clean an SQL Machine If You Need To Undo The Creation Of 'cadpartner123'.

This article is intended for your SQL administrator, since inadvertent changes can result in permanent damage to your SQL installation.

The SQL login 'cadpartner' is new in Solid Edge 2022. It gets created while connecting to the server when you run 'Parts Management Administrator'.  If during the initial deployment of Solid Edge 2022 Standard Parts it becomes necessary to undo the creation of this login, such as when troubleshooting the connection, here are steps to help you do that:

1. Remove the xCP_localGUIdb95 and all the databases with the prefix xsmp95. Both databases will be recreated while running 'Parts Management Administrator'.
 

2. Delete the login 'cadpartner123'.

3. Delete the 'cad-partner123' schema and user.

SQL server is now cleaned. If you go back to 'Parts Management Administrator', the 'cadpartner123' login is supposed to be recreated when connecting to the server.

The 'cadpartner123' should be created when you click on the OK button in the 'Log on to DB Server' dialog. You would know that this occurred if you were to look at 'Security-> Logins' on the server using 'Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio'.

As soon as you start typing in the 'Name' box, the 'Create New Database' icon should be enabled. If not, then further investigation will be needed.
