rac, unable to create dataset, no output data and no exception

- After selecting itemrevision in 4 tier rich client,

  unable to create Solid Edge Draft (SE Draft) dataset.

- Error message of

    No Ouput Data and No Exception

- On the server, set the environment variable

    TC_KEEP_SYSTEM_LOG

  to 

    1

  then restarted Teamcenter Server Manager service (pool manager)

- After attempting the same operation, the tcserver syslog shows

... -1073741819: error_-1073741819 - Exception code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION: ...

Solution

- Had to set each of the preferences 

    AIE_installed

    AIE_em_installed

  to default value of 

    OFF

- Afterwards, creation of the Solid Edge datasets in RAC was successful.
