APPLICATION
Summary
Details
The user is working in SEWHD 2021 version. They install SEWHD 2022. How they can get the SEWHD 2021 Stylesets configuration into SEWHD 2022?
Solution
If the user is only concerned with exporting the SEWHD 2021 styleset information, this can be achieved by using the executable called ElectricalPremigrate.exe and specific command line parameters.
This utility is available in the SEWHD installation folder Home/Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design <version>/bin
When the program is run, you will first login then select a directory to export the data to. While the export is taking place the progress will be shown with an accompanying dialog. The amount of time will depend upon the amount of data being exported.
Then they can import the styleset into SEWHD 2022 using the executable called ElectricalMigrate.exe and specific command line parameters.
Notes and References
The most common parameters that are used are :
-d system data (includes stylesets) in *.xml format -j all projects exported in *.xml format
-rdd all projects exported in raw data dump (or compressed) format where the files have a file extension of *.ccf, not in an *.xml format.
-s all symbol and border libraries in *.xml format -partlib every part number definition within SEWHD Parts -user all user accounts defined within SEWHD Users in *.xml format
Additionally, for automation tasks, the following are used commonly:
-f specifies the main output folder for the data being exported -u specifies the username (and their associated permissions) of the individual using the command -w specifies the password of the individual using this command
