Details

The application was promoted from the developer cockpit to the operator tenant. Even the process seems to be finished and completed without issues, the button under the credentials tab is disabled and cannot generate my App Credential.


Solution

As per the documentation for Working with app credentials, the credentials are not mandatory. However, the credentials will be displayed in the registration tab and only during the registration session is active:


The credentials will not be automatically saved in your run-time environment variables; therefore, it is required to save them in your application run-time environment.

If the application is already registered you would be required to deregister the app and register it again to obtain the credentials.
