NX In NX1980, text is not visible in the white background dialog while being edited.

If your drawing has black background, and you create notes or text in white, when you go back to edit it, the text is not visible because Text Input background is also white. What is the workaround for this problem? 

This problem is fixed in NX2007, but the WA in NX1980 is as below:

File --> Utilities --> Early Access Features"...At the bottom of the dialog, make sure Dialog Display Mode is set to External, (if you have multiple options).

Browse to "Provides the ability to edit text in the Note dialog using WYSIWYG text entry" --> MB3 --> Off
