Customer wants to try the VR collaboration hosted by Process Simulate. However, the VR invitation icon is greyed out. Also noticed in the documentation that a guest is required to install the Siemens Digital Industries Software Virtual Reality application on their machine. What is this Siemens Digital Industries Software Virtual Reality application, and does the host need it?
Solution
You must have a PSVR session active to have the Invitation button active.
You as a host do not need the client, it is already a part of the Process Simulate installation. If the guest has the same version of PS installed as you, they do not need it.
In the V16.1 DVD download is the original VR client released before hotfix 17; see the folder:
CD16.1_Tecnomatix\Add-Ons\Tecnomatix_Virtual_Reality_Client
The msi file in the folder must be provided to the guest.
If you have already installed hotfix 17 for Version 16.1 on your PSVR host, then send the new Hotfix-17_VR_SETUP to the guest. Available in Support Center Tecnomatix Downloads.
