Insights Hub Unable to delete an asset?

You want to delete an asset which you have created few days ago. If you click on 'delete' you receive following notification:

"The agent is connected. The asset cannot be deleted until the connection has been disconnected."

Agents are connected to assets. There are many ways to onboard agents, e.g.

- Mindconnect Nano,

- Mindconnect IoT 2040,

- Mindconnect Library,

- MC IoT Extension.

For each case, you need to offboard agents first in their configuration tab.

To do so, open the configuration of a MC nano agent, for example, then click on the gear icon right beside Onboarding Status -> select Offboard in the next screen (see screenshot below).

As an alternative solution, you can use CLI to offboard agent and delete asset:
