What are Project Preferences?

I defined my Project Preferences. Why are my project preferences not the same for all of my projects?

Solution

Project preferences are default settings that you specify for the designs in a project. In the design applications, this facility is accessed by pressing Space Bar and entering Project Preferences.

If a preference (for example, bundle thickness) is specified for an object type, whenever you insert a new instance of that object type into a design, it automatically assumes its pre-set preference settings.

All new and existing designs within a project automatically inherit their project's preferences.

Project preferences defined in one project are only set for that project, and the designs that reside in that project. Project preferences defined in one project, will not apply to other projects.

If you would like to create a project to use as a template for new projects, see help article PL8576126.
