The Command Bar is missing in some Solid Edge environments.
Solution
When this occurs it indicates the Command Bar is off-screen. With Solid Edge 2021 there is a new option to reset Docking Panes. Unfortunately, this does not reset the Command Bar. Also, the [alt]+[spacebar]+m approach will not relocate the Command Bar as it is a floating menu.
To reset the Command Bar position:
- make sure Solid Edge is not running
- in Windows Search enter "regedit" to access the Registry Editor
- in the Registry Editor expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER
- continue to expand Software\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 2021
- locate and DELETE the "UI" folder
- exit the Registry Editor and restart Solid Edge
Note: the folder path will be dependent on the Solid Edge version you have installed. For example, if you are running ST9 the path will be "Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 109".
WARNING: please exercise caution when performing registry edits.
