Cleared property field gets repopulated when uploading file

Summary
Details
User creates a file in Solid Edge. When they save it they define a value for a property in the Common Properties Dialog (CPD).
Subsequently, they open the "File Properties" function in Solid Edge, and clear the value.
They then hit "Apply and Close". When they come to upload the file in the CPD the property field still shows the value that was previously cleared.
Solution
The behavior is as designed: When the value is populated in the CPD it gets synchronized with the properties on the server. In the case where the master is set to 'both' a non-null value takes precedence over a null value. So whilst the Solid Edge File Properties field may be empty, the value on server is not. Consequently the non-empty value is populated back to the CPD during the Upload.
There are two workarounds:
1. If you activate the option to 'Hide CPD' - in this case, no CPD will appear and the empty property value as defined in File Properties gets passed to server.
2. If you want to see the CPD while uploading, then instead of clearing the property in the File Properties, you would need to clear it on CPD itself when doing the Upload.
