Insights Hub Creating standard deviations in Business Intelligence

How to calculate the standard deviation in Business Intelligence.

If you have a paid subscription to the Business Intelligence app for Insights Hub, you have access to Tableau® to create customized, advanced data visualizations and dashboards from data sets.

To calculate standard deviations, you have a few options. The first method is clicking the variable dropdown and then navigate to the Measure > Std. Dev or Std. Dev (Pop.) depending on your needs.

The second method is accessed from the Analytics Tab. Under Custom, double click Distribution Band. Under Value, you can select Standard Deviation along with the factors.

Finally, if none of those options are what you had in mind, you can create your own Calculated Field under the Analysis menu from the toolbar.
