Details

User tries to set the first relationship to a newly inserted part as "Mate" with zero offset.  Without any obvious reason (because the part is freshly inserted and has no existing relations or links) Solid Edge shows a "Relationship Conflict". Seems to be no way to place this part directly on the face of the destination part.  How to resolve?

Solution

There are two potential workarounds:

1) Add both additional relationships (align, etc.) BEFORE using the "mate"-relation

or

2) Use option "Use distance between faces as default" for adding the mate-relation, and set distance to 0.0mm afterwards. Then the user can add remaining 2 relations.

Either workaround addresses the user's issue.
