Insights Hub How to delete assets which are linked to MindConnect IoT extension?

Unable to delete assets from the asset manager in my tenant.

When I'm trying to delete the asset I am getting the below message.

The asset is linked to IoT-Extension device-ID 1234567 and cannot be deleted. Please, delete the device or its DataLink to this asset in IoT Extension.

I have deleted the Extension Device ID in MindConnect IoT Extension. Still, it shows the above error.

Solution

Asset deletion can happen once the datalink is deleted from the MindConnect IoT extension.

So the recommendation is to remove the mapping prior to deleting the device.

you can remove the mapping by going into the "Device Mapping" in the MindConnect IoT extension.

We have unlocked the asset; you can delete them now:

If you encounter this issue, the asset can also be unlocked using the Assetmodellock API
