NX Create Part Family raises "Invalid inputs to create member identifier"error

While trying to create part family on a specific part file, the below error occurs and unable to proceed further.
 "Invalid inputs to create member identifier"

Solution

1. Take a copy of the part keep it as a backup for being on safer side.
2.  Execute part clean up by checking on "Delete Part Family Data" ( Menu->File-Utilities->Part Clean up) and save the file
This action could fix the issue and enable the user to create a new part family
