Solid Edge How to transfer the formatted columns in the Design Manager to another system?

The user customizes the columns in the Design Manager via the 'Format Columns' dialog and wants to transfer these setting to another system. How can this be executed?

Solution

This task can be achieved via the following steps from the source to the respective target system.

Source system:

• Run the 'Registry Editor' command
• Expand to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 221\General\DesignManager
• Select the folder DesignManager
• Select 'File > Export...'
• Define a 'File name' (e.g. SE-DesignManager.reg)
• 'Save' the file
• Exit the 'Registry Editor' session
  
  

Target system:

• Run the 'Registry Editor' command
• Select 'File > Import...'
• Select the reg file that was previously created in the sources system (e.g. SE-DesignManager.reg)
• 'Open' the file.
• Quit the message "The keys and values contained in ... have been successfully added to the registry." with OK.
• Exit the 'Registry Editor' session
