Summary

Details

Solid Edge Wiring and Harness Design (SEWHD) application shows error message that the application exceeds available memory when user performs print of second diagram from their SEWHD project.

Solution

If the user modifies the memory allocation for the 'cismaster' statement within the clientprops.xml, it will no effect the java memory allocation for the SEWHD client application (i.e.: Electrical.exe).

To allocate more memory for the client applications, please perform the following tasks on the client workstation:

1. Select the shortcut to SEWHD, RMB > Properties
2. Add the java memory switch -Xmx2048m
3. Please note that there is a space between the double quotes character and the dash character
4. Select Apply
5. Relaunch the application
6. Check the application log file to insure that it grabbed more memory.

Next, if the you want the other applications (Electrical Parts, Electrical Symbol) to adhere to a similar memory allocation, you will need to specify this in the clientprops.xml

Assuming the customers workstation is resourced appropriately with RAM, this should fix the memory exceeded condition experienced by the customer.
