Insights Hub Unable to delete agent assets due to "Asset deletion not possible" error

When you try to delete agent assets (e.g. MindConnectLib, MindConnectIoT2040 or MindConnectNano agent assets), following error message gets displayed.

How can you delete the asset?

Solution

As the error message indicates, onboarded agent assets need to be offboarded before they can be deleted.

To offboard an agent asset, open the library page of the asset from Asset Manager.

Click the gear icon.

Then Click, "Offboard".

Now the agent asset can be deleted from Asset Manager successfully.
