Add the Obsolete location to the vault.

Enable "Automatically obsolete previous revisions while releasing a file".

Please Note:

Two options (listed below) have been backported starting with SE2019 MP4 & ST10 MP12.
For SE2019 MP4 and later use the following registry keys to set the value/option…

For "Automatically obsolete previous revisions while releasing a file" use below registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 219\Global\SetOtherRevsToObsolete
Type: DWORD (32 Bit) Values
Possible values: 0 (OFF) or 1 (ON)
Default value: 0 (OFF)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 110\Global\AutoSetDraftStatusAsPlacedPart

Workflow Example

Have a Solid Edge Part and Draft in the vault.

Release files in Design Manager; files are now moved to the Release folder.

Open the Released part and create a new Revision, this will create a new revision of the Part and Draft.
