Summary
Details
The default fit or zoom factor of 3D geometry displayed in the Viewport of a 3D PDF file does not match that in the NX display, the geometry of is often smaller.
Solution
To help ensure that the zoom factor of the geometry in a Model View in NX is replicated in the the Viewport of a 3D PDF file (published using the NX Technical Data Package (TDP) functionality), use the procedure outlined below:
1. In NX, select 'File - Utilities - Customer Defaults' and navigate to 'Gateway - Display - Miscellaneous' and change the 'View Scale' option from 'Fit' to 'Saved View Scale'. 'Apply' the changes and re-start NX. 2. Open the part file. In the Part Navigator, expand the 'Model Views' node and double-click on a Model View to make it the active/work view. Dynamically change the fit (zoom factor) of the geometry in the graphics window to meet your requirements. Select the active Model View in the Part Navigator (with the right-hand mouse button) and select 'Save'. Select the next Model View and repeat the process. Save the part file. 3. Publish the Technical Data Package to create the 3D PDF file.
