Summary
Details
A quick guide to rebuilding the Solid Edge Standard Parts library for Teamcenter.
Goal: Create a new Standard Parts DB with all generated (Teamcenter) parts
Prerequisite:
A working Standard parts configuration; you are able to generate and place new parts in Teamcenter.
In the example, Standard Parts are on a server location: Full access to the shared Standard Parts folder on the server. Note: Generated files are located in the ..\Standard parts\Teamcenter\ folder; do not remove this folder at any time!
Solution
Step 1 - Database Manager
Open the Standard Parts Administrator. Go to -> Database -> Database Manager (CTRL+D). Create a new database.
Step 2 - Add Parts to the New Database
In Standard Parts Administrator run Database -> Add Standard Parts (CTRL+P). Select "Add from existing multiple part files" and press Next. Use "Add path" and add the Teamcenter folder located in the shared Standard Parts directory. In the folder where all generated Teamcenter parts are stored.
Be sure this is the only selected location to import in the new database! Press OK. Files are now loaded into the new Database after the Teamcenter login was requested.
Result: Step 3 - Test with Solid Edge
Start SEEC and log in. Open a new assembly and save in Teamcenter. Open the Standard Parts library. Place a component.
