Summary

Details

One workstation will not open a few Solid Edge files. The files are downloaded to the local cache but there is an error, "The requested file is opened exclusively and cannot be accessed at this time".

The files open on other workstations without a problem.

Solution

Purge the FCC cache on the client workstation with the problem.
-Close Solid Edge and Teamcenter.
-Open a DOS command prompt.
-In Windows Explorer navigate to the Teamcenter tccs\bin folder (~\Teamcenter\tccs\bin)
-Drag and drop the "fccstat.exe" file into the command prompt window then hit the space bar, and enter "-status".
If "FCC Offline" is returned, drag and drop the "fccstat.exe" into the command prompt window again then press the space bar and enter "-start".
Once FCC is started, drag the "fccstat.exe" into the command window again and press the space bar, then enter "-purge".

This should resolve the issue.

Open Solid Edge and open the file to test.
