NX Multicad JT Dataset fails to open with error

TC 13.1

Set below TC preference to view JT file in NX

TC_NX_Foreign_Datasets=DatasetType="DirectModel" NamedReference="JTPART" NamedReferenceFormat="BINARY" NamedReferenceTemplate="jt"

Error "There are no seed parts in the database for the selected part file type. Contact your system administrator" occurred when JT dataset is opened in NX

Solution

In TC 13.1 UGMASTER datasets are not created for Unigraphics seed Parts.
Refer below image.

Because of the JT dataset is unable to open.

This issue is fixed in TC 13.1.0.3 and higher

Work Around for TC 13.1

Copy ugmgr_inch.prt and ugmgr_metric.prt from %TC_ROOT/data and attach to Metric and Inch Items available in Unigraphics Seed Parts folder.
