Insights Hub Tricks & Tips - How to access asset detail page or MindConnect Plugin directly

It is a good approach to manage your assets in a hierarchical structure. However, you may find it is time-consuming to click each parent Asset to open the asset detail page you want to review in the Asset Manager application. 

Solution

Each Asset Manager page has unique and static URL.

For example,

https://YOURTENANT-assetmanager.eu1.mindsphere.io/entity/8de2e4bb0309446794bcbdf98e413ffd/details?selected=4d634964226046ac93c2e44d6d8a9c3a

If you bookmark the URL in your browser for a specific asset and to access it directly next time, you can use your previously saved bookmark to open the Asset Manager page.

This also works with Connectivity plugins such as MindConnect Lib.

If you bookmark the page of the plugin, you can start from the plugin page next time.

This is especially useful if you frequently edit data points and data mappings of Agent Assets.

Notes

If you are not logged in to your tenant, MindSphere will display the login screen. 

Once you have logged in to the tenant, you will see the Asset page you bookmarked.
