Solid Edge How to change units for SEEC generated JT files?

Customer has set the Teamcenter preference SEEC_Image_generate_3D = TRUE to automatically generate JT files for Solid Edge parts.  They noticed that the units of the JT files are meters (m) by default.

How do you change the JT units to millimeters (mm) ?

Solution

Automatically generated JT files do not use the SePvTrn.ini file to control the translator settings.  To change the setting of the automatically generated JTs you need to modify the setting in

...\Solid Edgexxx\program\SEECtoJT.ini file.

You can edit this file with an text editor - search for the option "JT Units=m" and modify this to "JT Units=mm"

This will result in JT files with millimeters as units.
