Solid Edge Clear existing entries from Dimension Prefix pull-down list

Is it possible to clear the existing entries in the Dimension Prefix pull-down list?

 

Solution

Currently it is not possible to clear the existing entries from the Dimension Dialogs pull-downs e,g, Prefix from inside Solid Edge.

Solid Edge stores this entries in the Windows Registry in the HKEY_Current_USER registry hive of the currently logged in user.

With care, use the Windows Registry Editor (Microsoft Start > Button > type regedit > select the listed Registry Editor) to remove the appropriate entries from the Solid Edge Dimension registry key hive.

Registry Hive:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version xx\PrefSets\Dimension

Go to the registry hive and remove the Prefix Strings.
