Details
While running NX to PDF translation utility(export_ugdwgimages.exe), through the dispatcher, for a specific drawing data, NX translation hangs, (ugraf.exe hangs in Task Manager).
Due to this, the remaining scheduled jobs go to a TERMINAL status.
The stand-alone NX translation utility also hangs.
Solution
While translating specific drawing data, NX to PDF translation hangs, tcserver exits but after that, the session was not ending gracefully, it was hanging. (Syslog was not having this line at the end "@@@ End of session")
After analyzing the drawing data, it is found that one of the drawing sheets had a shaded view.
To handle such data, NX needs Graphics card support.
The user was running VM installation without the graphics card driver, so this was an unsupported configuration,
To fix this issue, users are advised to install Siemens recommended Graphics card driver. (Please refer to the Graphics Certifications (VDI section) at the Siemens PLMS site)
