Summary
Details
Starting with Solid Edge ST10, Teamcenter environments are defined using the Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM). You define your Teamcenter environment, provide a description, and specify Teamcenter Client Communication System all through TEM. The Teamcenter Communication Service (TcCS) is a four-tier function that acts as a central client tier process for managing functionality needed by multiple Teamcenter clients. The process hosts the FMS Client Cache (FCC) for communication with FMS Server Cache (FSC), the Teamcenter Proxy (TSP) for communication with Teamcenter web tier, and the Teamcenter Model Event Manager which provides client-to-client synchronization messages.
How to enable TcCS in Teamcenter?
Solution
Before you can use the TcCs you have to enable this on your Solid Edge client. To enable this feature we use the Teamcenter Environment manager (TEM)
1. On the SEEC client start TEM. 2. Perform maintenance on an existing configuration. 3. In the Feature Maintenance select "Use Configurations and Environments".
4. Add the URL to your Teamcenter environment. 5. For the next steps use the default values.
When finished restart your workstation.
Enable TcCS for SEEC
Start the Solid Edge PDM Client - Application Launcher.
Open the Define Teamcenter Environments.
Add a new connection.
Click TCCS button and this will create a new database connection with TCCS
When you login with SEEC you will see in the Solid Edge options -> Manage that the Use Teamcenter model data cache is activated.
