In previous version of NX(1872), we used to other modeling functions such as "Move Object" or other one of "Assembly/PMI/Analysis/Expression/Spreadsheet/Advanced Studio" while continuing to work Sketch without leaving the actively sketch environment. However, it's not possible to do that anymore.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Open a new part > Home tab > Sketch. (There is no Direct Sketch if I go to Menu > Insert > Sketch)
NX1899 Series or later: No Move Object, No other application is available. NX1872 Series: Move Object or other application are available.
Solution
For "Move Object": Please use a simple dragging way which has improved to be more intuitive to operate.
For other functions of "Assembly/PMI/Analysis/Expression/Spreadsheet/Advanced Studio": There is no WA, so please execute the functions after leaving the actively current Sketch.
Notes and References
"Direct Sketch" has been no longer available since NX1899 Series. The "Direct Sketch" command has consolidated and replaced with the Sketch commands previously available with "Sketch in Task Environment". Also, "Sketch in Task Environment" command was renamed to "Sketch", and several changes to the software interface were made to improve accessibility to sketch commands and sketches.
