Is Solid Edge certified on Windows 10 Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) or Long-term Servicing Branch (LTSB)?
Solution
We do not test with Windows 10 LTSC or LTSB Versions and consequently the Long-Term Servicing Channel/Long-term Servicing Branch release
is not a certified operating system for Solid Edge.
Please check the Solid Edge Readme text file for the certified requirements. The file can be found on Support Center in the main Solid Edge Download or in the Solid Edge Installation folder.
Theoretically, based on the the Microsoft Support and Update terminology, the customer would need to test the target Solid Edge version plus Maintenance Pack on the LTSC/LTSB machine and then
NOT apply any more Solid Edge updates. Customers will have to evaluate each Solid Edge major release & Maintenance Pack for suitability with LTSC/LTSB and freeze on that combination.
Notes and References
LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) previously called LTSB (Long Term Servicing Branch)
Important: The LTSC release is intended for special use devices. Support for LTSC by apps and tools that are designed for the semi-annual channel release of Windows 10 might be limited.
