Simcenter 3D Solutions Making Bodies Translucent in Simcenter 3D Motion

Right clicking on Motion Bodies in the work window will not allow the user to change the translucency of the shown bodies. This must be done to the Solid Bodies that make up the Motion Bodies. 

Solution

In order to select the CAD body, hover over the part of interest until 3 dots appear to the bottom right of the curser. Left click once these dots appear.

A quick pick menu will pop up to select the correct entity. Click on the Solid Body option that highlights the correct body.

Right click on the highlighted body and choose Edit Display .

The Edit Object Display dialog will appear. Under the Shaded Display is the Translucency scale. Slide the bar to the right to make the part more translucent.

Click OK to close the menu.
