NX Unable to export IFC file from NX

When exporting a model file from NX to IFC, the translation fails.

There is no error message displayed, but the resulting file is not created.

NX syslog (journal) file shows the following error message :
"ERROR: Failed to load E:\Siemens\NX 1953\NXBIN\pvtransutils.dll"

Solution

Having NX "Translators" product family installed in the custom installation menu is not enough for IFC translation

IFC translator requires that "Tooling Design & NX Join" installed as well when a custom installation is requested :
