Receiving a Teamcenter Popup message when translating a managed file such as dxf or step to disk (unmanaged). Dismissing the informational dialog box continues the translation as expected.
Solution
There are 2 places in the Solid Edge User Interface that can trigger this informational Pop-Up box. The first is located in Solid Edge Options (Application Button -> Settings -> Options) under the Manage ->General tab.
"Save Translation to Teamcenter"
By checking the box, "Enable Save Translation to Teamcenter" you are instructing SEEC to evaluate the SEEC preference in Teamcenter, SEEC_Save_Translation.
This preference provides multiple options on save methods, naming conventions, etc. for managed saved translations. However, if the preference has NOT been configured AND the Option setting discussed above is checked, then you get the Teamcenter (SEEC) Informational Pop-up box describing the current condition of your local Solid Edge settings.
The second location for this toggle is also controllable in the Solid Edge UI. Under the Teamcenter Menu is a button, Save Translation to Teamcenter. When pressed it sets the option as discussed above to "checked" and the button's background should be light blue.
