Details

In this scenario, the user has created a bar-shaped part and would like to make a Mirror Copy Feature using the middle plane of features at the left end of the part which are composed of two Move features (Move 7 and Move 9).

However, the result is not correct - somehow the Move features were not correctly calculated during the Mirror operation.

Solution

In this case, the "Move 9" feature is created with the option of "Movement step" as "Along Edge" and Mirror of that feature will not change the edge direction, hence the issue with the Mirror.

The workaround is to change the Movement step to face normal.  Edit the Move 9 feature and change the option from "Along Edge" to "Along Face Normal" to specify the type of movement to perform.  Then recalculate the Mirror Copy Feature.

The result of the mirror is now correct.
