When changing the sorting of custom properties in the Parts List from ascending to descending the sorting type will be changed as well.


Parts List in ascending order - in this case the order 14.10,8,6,2,1 is correct.

Changing to descending order, the result is not as expected.


The descending order is  1,10,14,26,8  instead 1,2,6,8,10,14. 



Solution

In this case, the data type of the custom column is inconsistent.  Some entries are of "Number" type and some are of "Text" type.  If the same data type is maintained throughout in the column, the sorting will be as expected.  Therefore, the Workaround will be to maintain the data type of the column throughout.

For some of the assembly components the Custom file  properties of the "Blad" property are set as Text.


In other components the property "Blad" is set as a Number.

Ensuring all "Blad" properties are set as Number, the Parts List will show the correct descending order:
