Summary

Details

In Simcenter 3D Specialist Durability, one can combine different load events in a way that the material memory (aka open hysteresis loops) at the end of one event is used as the starting point for the next event. Furthermore, to accelerate the analysis the user can choose to use the node elimination filtering.

An issue was detected when combining both options, leading to incorrect results.

To avoid this error switch the Node Elimination Simulation Object to "None" when using the "Account for Event Order" option for Duty Cycles.
To improve the performance of this workaround in the case long load histories are used, run a first analysis on the complete area of interest without the option "Account for Event Order" but use the Node Elimination. Then run a second analysis with the "Account for Event Order" option on the critical areas of the first analysis but switch the Node Elimination to "None".

The problem will be fixed in Simcenter 3D 2021.1 v1969 release.
