Summary
Details
Requirement checks can be created in multiple different ways. Once created, NX assigns a default name to these checks.
Below is an example of a Requirement check created from within the Expression dialog:
To better communicate the information about the Requirement checks, the name of the expression "p11" was renamed in the Expression dialog to "thickness_must ", but this rename did not carry over to the requirement check: How to edit the default name of the Requirement check to a user-desired own name or to match the renamed expression?
Solution
The Requirement name under the Part Navigator Checks folder is simply a Display Name, and it is not associated to the Expression name, so it requires a manual change to display what the user desires. Below are steps on how to edit this Display Name.
(1) In Part Navigator, MB3 over the Display Name of the Requirement check. (2) Choose "Requirements Validation...", this will open up the HD3D Tools panel. (3) Click once to highlight the row for that check, click one more time inside the Name cell to enter the 'edit in place' mode. Note: Notice the Formula cell already shows this check is associated to that renamed expression, this is the important associativity to confirm. (4) Type in the desired Checker display name, it does not have to be the same as the renamed expression name. Now the name of the Requirement check is edited as desired.
