NX Subassembly components not displayed in higher level assembly

After adding a sub-assembly to a higher level assembly, none of the sub-assembly components display in the work area.

Solution

After adding the sub-assembly to the higher level assembly verify the reference set in the sub-assembly.
1.  Verify the higher level assembly is the Work Part and expand the Assembly Navigator.
2. Highlight the Sub-assembly and right click on it.
3. Select Replace Reference Set.
4. Set it to Entire Part.
5. The components of the sub-assembly will now be displayed in the work area.
