Teamcenter X How to use the Print Object view to identify an Object by UID?

In the Teamcenter syslog sometimes the UID only is given of an object in question, how can I find the Item related to the given UID? 

Solution

Use the Print Object view to identify an Object by UID.

To get an idea what object is affected you can investigate it using the UID as outlined in the syslog:

i.e. UID similar "ypa5EjzdoitgXA"

 

Open View "Print Object":

In the Print Object view:

1. Insert UID as below
2. Select Copy Icon
3. Open the clipboard 
4. Select Item
5. Select Open Icon to display item selected

Item found will now show up in Teamcenter and can be viewed in Details, Impact Analysis etc.
