NX Can't use a Feature Group as parent geometry to a Zlevel Profile operation

When creating a Zlevel Profile operation, it is not possible to select an existing Feature Group as the parent geometry.

How can such an operation be added beneath a Feature Group?

Solution

Currently it is not possible to use a Feature Group as a direct parent geometry to Planar Milling or Zlevel Milling operations. A Mill Boundary or Mill Area geometry object must be used in between.

In the use case above, a Mill Area object should be created under the Feature Group. Then the Zlevel Profile operation can be created, using the Mill Area geometry as parent.
