Is it possible to use Lofted Flange as it worked in Solid Edge 2019 and avoid re-mapping the Vertices?

In this example, a Lofted Flange has been created in Solid Edge 2019 - the vertices are correctly mapped with this result:
In Solid Edge 2021 the user tries to edit the Lofted Flange and a warning message appears proposing to upgrade the feature:
Selecting "Yes", the feature is recalculated but the result is not the same - all the vertices are no longer mapped correctly.

Is it possible to maintain the previous behavior of Solid Edge 2019?

Solution

There are two workarounds available:

1. Do not upgrade the Lofted Flange feature at all to the new version.  This will maintain the old flange behavior.  As we removed the old flange behavior in SE 2020, this is the only way to allow the lofted flanges as created in SE 2019 (and previous versions) to behave the same way as before.

2. If the user wants to create new Lofted Flange features in SE 2020 and in SE 2021 but still wants the pre-SE 2020 lofted flange behavior, there is a registry switch:

WantOldLoftedFlangeBehavior

This is a DWORD, to be created in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 220\DEBUG (or, in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Solid Edge\Version 221\DEBUG) and the value set to 1.

After this the lofted flange features created will exhibit the exact same behavior as in SE 2019 and before.
