NX Can client (individual user) limits be placed on license BORROW?

Large sites would like to put constraints on how licenses can be BORROWED.

Solution

Under SALT V1.0 / CLT V11.*, some control is available via the Flexlm .opt (OPTIONS) file.

EXCLUDE_BORROW Deny a user the ability to borrow BORROW enabled features.

INCLUDE_BORROW Allow a user to borrow BORROW enabled feature.

BORROW_LOWWATER Defines number of BORROW licenses that cannot be borrowed.

MAX_BORROW_HOURS limits maximum borrow period for the borrowed feature.

Notes and References

SIEMEMS/PLM GTAC does not currently support .options files.  However, the creation and use of such files is documented in the "FLEXnet Licensing End UserGuide".
