Summary
Details
Selecting "Specify Part Boundaries" in a "Planar Mill" operation opens up the "Part Boundaries" dialog box by default. The user is not able to change the default "Selection Method"
Solution
As a workaround, a macro can be created. Create a macro using a MILL_BND geometry object that opens the "Part Boundaries" dialog box with the "Selection Method" initialized at "Curves".
Steps to Create Macro
Select Menu--Tools--Macro--Start Record.
Navigate to your custom Macro folder.
Input desired name of your Macro and select Ok.
Go to the "Geometry" View.
MB3 on the desired Geometry parent.
Select "Insert" -- "Geometry" (Please see image below).
Select "MILL_BND" for "Geometry Subtype".
Rename "MILL_BND" to your desired boundary "Name" (see image above).
Select "OK".
Select "Specify Part Boundaries" on the "Mill Bnd" dialog box (see image below).
On the "Part Boundaries" dialog box--change the "Selection Method" from "Face" to "Curves". (Please see image below).
